GAME NOTES

7th_Level begins with us in a tunnel-system dug out by Umber Hulks. We find ourselves in worked Dwarven halls, but they seem quite deserted. Mira bumps into a pair of feeding Xorn which we avoid.

Gimbal finds an ornate door and a booming voice rings out:

Neither secrets nor treasures shall ye find! Turn back! Ye are not welcome here!

Gimbal bumps into a Duergar claiming his friends are trapped by the Fire Cultists on the other side of an ornate door. There does seem to be a fight, but not really any trapping. We avoid this also.

We explore many mostly-empty rooms, finding incidental treasure along the way. We find some cool magical mules made of barrels & brooms that can be ridden and each gets one.

We avoid pretty much every encounter. Eventually, we hear Bad Company arguing on the other side of the door and discuss whether to fight, meet or avoid them. More avoidance. Ceol leaves the word Stirges written on the floor in charcoal near their room.

THEORY

The 'travelers' who stole Azrok's Dagger are actually Bad Company. Which explains their presence on 7th Level

Mira falls into a pit full of poison gas that destroys her donkey. It takes a bit to get her out and her lungs get slightly burnt.

We find a training room with armor, shields & training dummies as well as a Portal back to the Wyllowwood.

In one room, the frightening illusion of a cackling undead beholder appears and then disappears leaving behind a note that reads one thing for all of us, but another for Jitters:

Halaster congratulates you on your success!
(Jitters we are waiting for you at Dweomercore)

At the extreme SE, we find the foot-exit to the 8th Level.

Near a large ore-crusher we find a room with a Portal but also 2 grey slaads. Ceol gets Frightened and runs away while his friends fight and destroy them.
