We tie up a lot of loose ends in the Yawning Portal and head back to the 6th Level

GAME NOTES

We collect body parts & NPCs and head up the stairs to Waterdeep. We enter in a very nice shop with a thug and Xoblob. Arin casts Hold Person and we begin looting.

The open/close sign seems to be the view from the Xoblob mirror down below.

Jitters Detects Magic and we come up with loot. Helper shows up. We intimidate Xoblob then leave for the Yawning_Portal_Inn

At the Yawning Portal Inn we update our quests will all the usual suspects:

Gimbal tells Lady Yafeera that Xanathar is dead and that the Xanathar Thieves Guild has been infiltrated by the Undermountain Elder Brain including the puppet Kressando. She is very appreciative and sends him to his room for his reward.

Ceol adds that we successfully cleared out the Goblin Market as tasked, -despite the treachery of her recommendations. Also that we killed Nadia the Unbent for good measure. Lady Yafeera responds in the typical shitty manner and pretends to look down on Gimbal's "servants."

Next, Arin speaks to Volo about the Alabaster Throne. Volo is excited but won't give a price. We leave it for now.

Ceol talks to Three Strings, giving him the details of the Undermountain Elder Brain/Xanathar Thieves Guild plot in Skullport. He is incredulous, -but still offers no money. Ceol requests that Three Strings marshal his troubadour friends to sing of the perfidy of the Fearless Five of Phandalin all over Waterdeep

Ceol moves on to Esvele Rosznar explaining that Kressando was killed and used as a flesh-puppet by an imposter. This upset her, and she was doubly-upset that the Rosznar Signet Ring. Ceol promised to "keep an eye out for it" on his adventures and declined a romantic come-on.

After a LONG REST, we come downstairs to find Volo and his buyer waiting. The price is an Elven longbow, which we accept for Arin. Ceol sees Esvele Rosznar telling Ceol's story to a 3rds party, so dips out before trouble can find us.

We agree to shop via retcon between sessions.

As a last bit of Waterdeep business, Ceol has Jitters show him a large tree in the Waterdeep Cemetary and then we head back to Undermountain.

The 1st Level & 2nd Level are now firmly in the control of the Zhentarim. We jump from the 3rd Level to the 5th Level which is thriving.

Using the Druid's Amulet we walk into the 6th Level.

We find ourselves in familiar territory, just on the opposite side of the dollhouse castle. We explore around a bit, finding a petrified basilisk and a giant cathedral chamber carved with whorls & spirals and sprouting huge crystals.

Ultimately though, we begin trying to figure out how to get safely to the little castle. We discover that anything within 40' of it shrinks to 1/12th size, becoming normal sized again when the area is left.

Using a combination of animal shapes, spells & Tearulai. We fly over.

There is a big sign outside the door that reads: Maddgoth's Castle. There is a foyer area that has four corked flasks of green glass arranged on white pedestals. Magical feather-dusters flit about the room cleaning them.

The feather dusters do not respond aggressively when Jitters messes with them. Ceol crosses the foyer and knocks on the door, but there is no answer. After a bit, he opens it and an Alarm begins blaring
