We defeat Illuun to Find Crystal Key, Leveled up to 9th

GAME NOTES

Jitters uses Message to Question Wyllow

We investigate the circle on the top floor to advance time and take a LONG REST and investigate our new items. Arin removes the lycanthropy curse from Gimbal.

Gimbaluses the Wand of Secrets to find the final secret door in Yinark's tower. There is a big mirror and a shoji screen plus disguise stuff. We find 2 magic bottles & a disguise kit

We discuss what to do about Mobar. The party is split about killing him, so Ceol misdirects Gimbal and kills Mobar and his minion.

We drag the boat back to the NE and put the boat in for a trip to the 4th Level.

We retrace our steps through the foul caverns until we find the fishmen. Without a real plan, we attack. Gimbal drops 2 before they know what is going on. A short fight ensues, with the shaman focusing on Jitters, but they are dispatched without too much difficulty.

We head east and hear more noises, -we find a whole village of Kua Toa including a frankenstein corpse priest/altar thing.

We backtrack a bit and try to summon Illuun by shouting his name. He appears and tells us how to find his home. When we arrive Illuun keeps up the pretense of hospitality, but tries to control Ceol's mind. When challenged on his poor manners:

Jitters immediately traps the aboleth in a Resilient Sphere and we turn our attention to the attacking chuuls. Arin drains the foul water of the chamber away and we go to work. The chuuls quickly grapple Jitters and Ceol.

Jitters Misty Steps out, Ceol cuts his way out. A pitched battle ensues with Illuun stuck in a bubble and looking on. Gimbal gets grappled, but uses a Potion of Gaseous Form to escape. The chuuls prove to be difficult opponents, and we never would have survived if Illuun were not disabled by Jitters.

With the chuuls destroyed, we position ourselves to kill Illuun. Jitters drops the Resilient Sphere and blasts Illuun with a Lightning Bolt. We pile on and destroy him quickly.

We search Illuun's lair and Find Crystal Key!

We also find some treasure, including half of a pair of magic boots. Now we need to Find_the_Boot
