We pay Peter Saltbottom to remove the curse from gimbal. He wants to speak about omens of Arin bringing water down on flames from a mountaintop. Says priests of Kossuth all immolated themselves 30 years ago.
Without warning, Peter Saltbottom picks up the Gold Tiefling Heart and it begins to suck his life force and he turns into a wight. We destroy him and then try to to figure out what to do with the Heart. Arin prays to Istishia and is told to find a way to Dispel Evil on it. We put it in a salt cod barrel and seal it up while we find a powerful priest, perhaps of Lathander.
We sell off possessions and approach the Spires of the Morning to get rid of the Heart. We are met by an acolyte, Bruce Bobst who fetches Monsignor Timothee. Timothee hears our tale and asks us to leave it for them to deal with. After we leave, we hear screams and return to find the Monsignor turned into a wight and munching on a human leg. Bruce helps us re-barrel the heart and then tells us the High Priest, John Frank, will be back that night. We take a LONG REST while we wait.
When John Frank finally arrives, we explain it all over again. He promises to destroy the Heart at dawn, and we leave before any more mischief can happen.
While waiting, we blindfold the Drow Assassin's corpse and use Arin's Speak with Dead Question Drow Corpse in Ceol's quest to Recover_Ilbratha.

We discover he had been working for House of Auvryndar and that Halaster Blackcloak put him up to the assasination of Prince Azoun & the the theft of Ilbratha, -raising more questions than he answered.
We talk to Lady Yafeera getting and giving info we discovered while we were scouting Undermountain and House of Auvryndar. She tells us about Azrok & the Azrok Militia on the 3rd_Level. We descend once more to Level One.
Turning our attention to getting past the Trolls guarding the entrance to Level Two: Mira casts Pass without Trace and Jitters uses Flappers as a distraction while we sneak past and re-enter 2nd Level . Without any real plan, we head directly to the SE to confront Nadia_the_Unbent and her forces.
We try to sneak past the undead beholder using the Driftwood Wand, it accepts it for Gimbal and we gingerly file past and into a large hall covered in glowing red crystals. We have a hurried discussion about fighting or running, and then we see two ballistae rolling towards us from the west. We flee south, west, south then east.
We find the stairway to 3rd Level and head down. We also LEVEL UP to 7th Level
We wander through empty rooms for a bit and stumble upon a chimera squatting on a pile of treasure. We destroy the monster and split the loot.
