GAME NOTES

1st Level - We check some unexplored hallways to the south, find more rotten meat, a corpse of a dwarf with a burglar's pack and lantern. We decide its best to leave before the troll comes down to check his pantry.

We head into 2nd Level, and hear goblin construction. We avoid them, go past a well & pump, and find an alchemy workshop. Beyond that, we find a decrepit kitchen haunted by a spectre which Arin turns with the power of Istishia.

We enter Kalabash's room, even though we are not Halaster. He demands Gimbal leave so he does. To the east, we find a working laboratory/workshop that smells of ozone and rotten meat. We find a journal:

Trenzia's Journal

Day 1 - Halaster has granted me this abandoned copper mine and the arcane chambers. Finally I have access to the components needed for my experiments


The chamber beyond is full of barrels and we are beset by 5 ghouls. Gimbal gets paralyzed, but we finish them off without too much damage.

We find a copper-floored room with a flesh golem and a flying skull. The golem is inept, but the skull hits us with a lightning bolt and heals the golem at the same time. The skull (Trenzia) laughs maniacally and taunts us as we trade blows. Finally both golem and Tenzia are destroyed, and we take a SHORT REST

Wary of the copper floor, Jitters sends a white weasel the chute on the far side to find a sunken room with a dwarven altar. We opt to go a different route where we fight 3 ghasts, who are then joined by another 2 ghasts. They chew us up a bit, but both are dispatched without too much trouble.

We find another journal entry and some rubber boots which we surmise are related to the referenced trap and the copper floor.

Trenzia's Journal

Day 10 - With lightning and copper wires, I created a pack of ghouls. Hal was not impressed. He says I’m not ready for the Dweomer Corps and its arcane secrets. I’ll show him. His flesh golem has given me an idea for a trap more devious than any Hal could devise. Lightning—is there anything it can’t do?


Rather than risk it, we decide to bug Kalabash for directions to Skullport. He's rude and when we dont leave right away he blasts us with a cone of cold. Mira hits back with a Hellish Rebuke and we trade lightning. Kalabash dies PDQ and his spellbook is taken by Jitters . We find a chalk summoning circle under the rug when we roll up his body which we disrupt.
